Fucking hell, I'm sick of this message!

I've got this software that I've been using for over five years. It's great, and it's essential for me. There are no better replacements, no updates, nothing. I started with it on Windows 95, and then Windows 98. Worked fine on both platforms.

So now I'm on Windows XP and am having major problems. I'll be running the program just fine, and then 3 hours into it, I'll get an illegal operation and need to totally reboot the system and software. I realize a lot of older software doesn't work properly with XP, but I swear I've seen somebody say that you can change some settings so that Windows XP performs properly with a given piece of software.

Does anyone know anything about this? Or have any suggestions as to what I could do? This is killing my productivity, need a solution ASAP.

Go back to windows 98 if it is essentual to your business. Simple as that.

go to the program's exe in explorer

right click and click properties > compatibility mode > windows 98

:) reboot.

Correct, xp can run any program in whatever version of windos you need it to for that specific program... XP is great if you know all the in's and out's:thumbsup
