I did not realize you could get "caked out"

But after sampling 7 different cakes I can safely say, I like pie.

I would think you would know your niche better than that.

A few bites from each. More than enough, that it for sure. After trying that many flavors even the ones you like start to be too much.

The other cakes must seriously have been shit if you pick pie :)

Hope you picked the right one though. Nothing beats a fantastic cake.

If "sampling" a cake means eating the whole thing to you, you may have an eating problem. :1orglaugh

No, it means he has never ridden a motorcycle and I don't want to make my daughter a widow.

Well, since she is a vegetarian we had to have a special meal set up for her, so she better eat it.

I will have to introduce you to pumpkin pie since you have introduced me to so many Euro treats.

And thank you. It is shaping up to be a great event.

Save some for me...:thumbsup

Peaches 05-24-2008 05:56 PM

My father played it smart, handed me cash and said "Whatever you want". We had Amaretto almond for the main cake and the groom's cake was chocolate with strawberries.

2 years later when I called to tell him I was getting a divorce, his first loving words to his distressed daughter were "You understand a father only pays for the first wedding, right?".

;)

tony286 05-24-2008 05:58 PM

Its like when on the food channel, they have some fair.Like the rib fair and they have to judge a 100 contestants. Its like after that I would never want to see whatever the fair contest food was again.

Well, since she doesn't have a mother here I volunteered early on to step into those shoes as well.

No one said it would be easy.

I was raised by my father also. :thumbsup My Dad wanted to pay for it, show up, and crack jokes the whole time he was walking me down the aisle :) He figured it was my wedding, my decisions. Though the biggest decision he gave me I totally screwed up on: He offered me a new car or the wedding. I should have gone with the car :disgust

She becomes an instant millionaire when she gets married. On top of that, he is a nice guy and she is happy. I have no reason to discourage it.

He never discouraged it the MARRIAGE - just offered the car or to pay for the wedding. He wasn't asking me to not to get married just questioned if spending money for a wedding was that important. I stupidly thought it was :thumbsup

It was a kick ass wedding though!!! I have lots of pretty pictures to prove it, lol.

And don't get me wrong, I love when friends have really expensive weddings :)

baddog 05-24-2008 09:39 PM

This isn't overly expensive. Going to be at nice places (http://www.wayfarerschapel.org/) but there will only be 80 people (small church).
