Going to the cemetery..not nice

Had to take my misses to the cemetery today as it is her belated mums birthday and she likes to put flowers on her mums grave. This was the first time I went with her as she normally goes with her sisters but because we have moved I had to take her down in the car. Anyway we arrive at the cemetary and I asked if she wanted to be left alone, she said yes, so off I walked to the car. After around 5 min I kinda noticed her wiping her eyes so went over to her and she was crying her eyes out, In all the time I have been with her I have never seen her like this and it really put a lump in my throat and a tear in my eye, and im not a guy that gets upset very easily but this really got to me. Did not realize just how much this actually meant to her until today and I feel like a total prick after being with her for over 20 years and not realizing it. I guess you kinda get used to having somebody around for so long and sometimes you just take them for granted and dont realy take thier feelings into consideration..man life is so short.....

have u now considered that maybe you dont allow her to open up and reveal herself to you?

Yep I have never really thought about it until today as she has allways gone with her sisters and I would stay at home. I have been going about my life not caring about the emotional needs of my family. It was like a punch in the face and some one saying open your fucken eyes and listen to what your misses is trying to tell you.. and it hurt real bad.

Moms are a hard loss, one of the best things I heard after my mom passed was it doesn't get any easier just more tolerable and its true, its only been 3 years and I still think about her every day. its the stupid stuff like was it 2 cups of flour or 3 and normally you ask mom but you cant. I hits anyday any place

Just Love her thats all you can do

Yep you are right and I feel for you, I love her to bits even though she can be a pain in the butt sometimes. Its just sad that it took something like this to make me realize how she felt.

well, dont be too hard on yourself. evolutionary biologists believe crying evolved in woman because men have a hard time reading subtle clues. :2 cents:

look for some books on amazon on how to care for the emotional needs of a wife.

I think they are right about that.. I guess men are also not so emotionaly charged as woman or they dont show it like a woman does.
