Sponsor links in blogroll. Bad for SEO?
 

Is putting sponsor links in your blogroll bad for SEO? If it isn't, how many can be used before it is bad?

sponsor links are almost never good for seo purposes

but kind of necessary unless you go with a higher end scripted solution to mask them

so yea i would suggest keeping the # low buddy

If they're reciprocal to share some PR goodness, then keep them low as possible.

If you want to just send traffic, i.e. a traffic exchange, get the WP plugin that adds the rel="nofollow" attribute. Much safer but make sure webmasters you trade with know whether your giving them a 'dofollow' or nofollow link
