1-2 blinks with normal blink rate.
3-4 blinks if i have the led's in (less resistance about doubles the blink rate)

i usually just put my beer out the window to let people know i am coming in, and if i got a buddy in the passenger seat he does the same for the right turn signal.

I always do! I can not stand it when people in front of me don't. Be courteous, let those behind you know that you are making a turn, shit it's not that hard.

Try driving in Orange county. Everyone here just moves into lanes at their leisure without looking or signaling. It becomes frustrating fast.

This is one of my HUGE pet peeves, I hate when people decide last minutes to cut me off and don't signal. For heavens sake they aren't Christmas lights! That are installed for a reason! Wish I could get over it...

:1orglaugh Often times I do not but it really depends on my mood. I don't have any logical process of deciding when I will use one and when I won't, I just kinda do sometimes but usually don't. I never use one at a T, I figure, you have to stop anyway so why does anyone need to know which way I am going? I think I signal more on the highway but mostly I just go for it. I am not the best driver.

I had a rental car during vacation last week and even though it was a 2 year younger model of what I drive regularly at home, the blinkers were less sensitive and stayed in place easier during a lane change. Thankfully I was in FL where old people drive for hours with their blinker on. :thumbsup

Me too. Or the rich yuppies that feel their car is so expensive that you should just stop for them. However, the absolute worst are the ones that are on the phone and so preoccupied with their conversation that they dont even bother to look. I've seen so many people nearly side swiped that way.

All the time even if I am alone on the road, hate especially young doucheboys who get a big ass car from their daddy and think it's cool having to anticipate every single dumb move they can do, they usually are very predictable so that's an advantage.

And as a cyclist I hate when cars don't let a person know what they're going to do. Even when no one is behind you at a light you're supposed to do it.

If you don't use signals when you change then you're probably from New Jersey, Pennsylvania or Illinois. :winkwink:

I always indicate when turning or changing lanes even at 2am with no-one else on the road, its a good habit to have imo.

Its such a simple thing to do but so many people are too lazy to flick on an indicator

I always signal with one very notable exception.

Ya see, I live in Atlanta. On the occasion that I'm lured out into rush hour traffic the rules change. In Atlanta, rush hour is some kind of vehicle warfare. Normal people become rude as shit willing to cut you off to protect 10 feet of space and avoid one more vehicle getting in front of them. It takes an hour to go 10 miles in rush hour, so people lose their minds.

Now, if you're trying to merge on or off good chance traffic for any given ramp is backed up at least a half mile onto the highway at any given exit. There's not a single one of those people who wants to let you in. If you signal, they will close the gap you were looking to slip into and close the door. How dare you get in front of them!

So, you have to use tactics, you learn to hang back, approach the line slowly but aggressively, spot yourself a huckleberry and dive in front of him before he or she can do anything about it. No signal, just see your spot, take your spot.

I hate using the signal. It's such a pain. They need an easier way, such as gripping the wheel hard on one side.

Sometimes I use them but most of the time I do not.
