More thunderbird trouble
so i couldnt get the smtp password pop up anymore whatever i tried, so the last 4 days i couldnt send email with Thunderbird.
I updated to the latest version yesterday. Now thunderbird doesn't launch at all... what a great fucking email client. I opened up outlook, personally ive never used it, and i wanted to get to work with it without reading anything, but either im retarded or it has a fucking illogical user interface. WTF! So my question is what is a reliable email client that doesnt have the bugs of thunderbird and can handle 10+ email accounts in a clear overview, like thunderbird. Thanks :drinkup |
Try The Bat:)
Yeah, I've read good things about the bat, but I'm still doing okay with Thunderbird. I agree with you though, both outlook and tb have tons of issues and weird interface/settings problesm.
ok i will try the bat, thanks
I've never had any problems w/ thunderbird, wtf are you guys doin to your poor computers? :1orglaugh
smtp shit is driving me crazy, finding that out in thunderbird killed it. Where the fuck do i see the info of my smtp server? The pass and shit, in directadmin?? why do i have these problems now, ive been using my email addresses forever but i dont know where the fuck i can find my smtp password. Where is it????
someone fill me in how the fuck i can get my smtp shit to work again like it used to, i cant send email for the last 4 days! Now i have the bat installed and it asked smtp info so i fill everythign in correctly i think. But it still cant connect to the motherfucker!

nowhere information for this, absolutely nowhere. Very very fucking weird.
UPGRADE to Microsoft Outlook :thumbsup
Is the smtp settings for thunderbird not in tools>account settings>and then scroll to the bottom and there is outgoing server smtp settings :thumbsup
FUCKKK i totally forgot about this - didnt write it down way back before i did the setting... just had a word with host support and they reminded me that with some ISP's you gotta use their SMTP server.... and that's also the case with my ISP. It's always something simple! Oh well, thunderbird is fucked up, fresh installs wont even work on my comp now, so i'll probably continue using The Bat, first impression is positive... now im gonna figure out if i can import all my accounts in The Bat
Do full uninstall, copy the folder for thunderbird and delete it. Reinstall. Had this happen on Dixies computer the other day. After reinstall emails all showed right back up. I think it was just a glitch with certain computers after the update.
