Internet in London
I'll probably move to London for some time... Can anyone tell me how much does Internet access in the U.K. cost?
It doesn't have to be very fast, but it should be cheap... thank you |
They have the internet on computers now?

Depends if the exchange has been Broadband enabled -
If NTL is available in the area you move to, which it should be... 128k Ntl basic broadband, telephone line rental, basic cable TV package for £15 a month ($25) 600k Ntl broadband, telephone line rental, basic cable TV package for £25 a month ($40) 1 Meg Ntl broadband, telephone line rental, basic cable TV package for about £35 a month ($50) You can get ADSL from BT/Other ISP's for around £29-45 ($40+ a month) Or if you are desperate.... you can use a 56k modemn with 0800 access 24/7 from £14.99 upwards ($25)..... http://www.bt.com http://www.ntl.com/locales/gb/en/ Dave |

If you get the choice which is more than likely if within the M25 then go NTL. Faster than BT and much lower contention ratios. BT ADSL is currently 50-1.
