Yes, and I know exactly which one. I don't want to give name here because I don't have time for backing up all that, but I've tested and it's true. Be carefull with new sponsors.

not necessarily, but they do shady billing practices on those days for sure.

Define shave.

Generally on promo days the sponsor will add a few extra cross sales (sometimes prechecked) to recoup the cost of the promo. Or maybe a couple of extra consoles. Just check the paysite join forms on those days to see for yourself.

Yes, I noticed that a long time ago, I hate it when they come with promos with large amounts, because in the end the number of signups is smaller.

I put out a system to prove and test shaving so our affiliates don't have any worries.
As for your ratio getting worse on bonus days, I would bet that is from everyone just throwing all the traffic they have at the site. Might not convert as well but the bonus will make up for it LOL. I have seen people send more traffic in a day then I get to my site in a month and it had nothing to do with the niche. Then they cry and the program owner can't say anything and make the guy look like a total jackass.

WOW 70% of people believe programs shave on bonus days? thats crazy and wrong.

These days its easy to pay high payouts and a launch of a new site requires bonus days to get affilates to put links up. Us program owners put aside $10,000's for bonus days so people give our new sites a try.

We just launched Movieprofits.com 2.0 today with 21 new sites and $80 PPS for the next 4 weeks on Fridays. I can tell you that we WILL lose alot of money on those days, hopefully we'll lose LOTS of money cause the more sales the more affilates have given us a try.

Programs don't need to shave to do bonus days.
