I have a debit card from my bank with the visa logo on it. I can use it at any place that takes visa. Can I also use it as a visa credit card online?

They're very handy...I've written maybe 3 checks in the last 2 years.

Sometimes it works in place of your legal ID at the bar if you keep your tab open.

Probably not :)
It would have to have a Visa/Mastercard logo (or other major CC). I have lots of cards with the cirrus logo on them that aren't accepted anywhere online... yet :)

There are Visa debitcards that cannot (or it´s not allowed)be used oneline..

I myself have two visa electron(debit)cards (from different european countries) which cannot be used online yet.
Soon the cards can be used when the "verifiedbyvisa" kicks in..

About 75% of the times I've tried to use my Visa Debit card online it's been rejected. I only keep trying because of the few times it went through. And yes I have money in the bank.
