Anyone have a external WiFi Antenna?
 

I have internal WiFi in my Laptop and need better range.

Messing with internal wireless is a royal PITA. Super tiny, unaccessible connectors. Unless you are an electronics wiz, forget it.

Get a USB- or PCMCIA-Wifi-adapter with an antenna jack. Try to get one with 500 mW sending power. Might be illegal, though.

If you know where your AP sits, get a directional antenna. You have to point it at your AP, but it will really boost your range.

if its for your house or office, you can put higher-gain antennas on your router and it will help quite a bit.

No, it's not my router, I need it for when I park my RV at the beach. I was thinking about this antenna but I didn't know if a USB port is good for using with an antenna.
