A hint of things to come. (pic thread)
 

I am sitting in the Columbia River Gorge about 50 miles east of Portland, OR at a place called "Hole in the Wall Falls." I have my camera sitting on a tripod in the middle of a stream....(yes, again)

I'm patiently waiting for the light to fall just right for me to get the pic I am envisioning. So far, I've shot 2 other waterfalls along this trail today but I had to come back to this one and wait out mother nature. It's been about an hour so far.

Pics will follow later this evening. :)

Got the shot, not sure if I'm happy with it or not.

Had to hike out at dusk then drive back. Stopped for dinner on the way home.

I'm pretty worn out but I'll still get some pics up when I get home.

So....I was way too tired to post anything after getting home last night.

I waited for over 5 hours and the lighting was never right. I'm going to have to go back and shoot Hole in the Wall Falls in the morning before the sun hits it directly. :(


Not a complete loss for the day though...The other 2 waterfalls on that hike were kinda neat and those pics turned out OK.

Not sure where you are local too but there is Bushkills Falls in the Poconos in PA. Easy hike, beautiful falls and scenery. Took tons of pics years ago but will not post due to they suck.
