I want to learn how to make servers preform task automaticly where can I learn how to write shell scripts

What do you need a resource site for?

man bash at the prompt in your telnet/ssh session

I didnt know that, so this will show me how to make a script that executes commands automaticly everyday

It sounds like you want to use Cron,

type man cron

man bash will show you what commands are alowed in the bash environment for shell scripting. You could also use perl or a number of other languages. To run the scripts you make you would use crontab (unix scheduler), and a good tutorial on crontab can be found here:

I have never used software to build AVS sites, I strutured my sites with perl scripts that are triggered by SSI commands, basicly I upload images, fill out some blanks for color and sponsor adds, make a front and mirror it to the AVS systems I use (Currently 8).
The process takes me about 2 hours so I figure thats quick enough for me. I never even looked into a software.

Wasn't your name ageverify at one time? If so you are using TotalAVS. Ryan K at adultdesignz installed it for you as I recall.

No you must be mistaken, as far as AVS sites go I hand built everything myself. Thanks for the link though

Ahh ok, My bad. Who did the design for oneverify? Its sweet.

TopBucks owns OneVerify so I imagine one of their designers
