Paypal ChargeBack ... Need Some Suggestions...

Hi Guys!,

I wanted to get some suggestions about how to do this thing:

Quote:

I bought a software program about a week ago for $250 which advertised many features.. "the earth the moon and the stars"... I sent a question to their support during a weekend and I got a response within 2 hours (prior to the actual purchase)... now that I got the software it is nothing like advertised...it is a useless piece of fecalith ....I asked for a refund but the guy says that hte features I'm looking for are available in the upgrade version ($200 more) so I need to charge it back.. .. the guy won't answer any of my emails ever since I paid for this crappy program...

I used my paypal debit card to make the purchase but I know paypal doesn't give money back on software purchases, the only way they do it according to some people I've spoken to is by claiming an "unauthorized transaction" ...
Apparently the CB form requests my version of the story to get the funds back... what story would you write? (serious suggestions pls)

I would let it go if it was $10-30 .. but $250? hell no....

Need suggestions...this is the first time I try to charge anything back....

Im not a paypal expert but I think they only cover physical goods. Did you put a shipping address in when you purchased the software? If so, you might be able to claim they never sent you the goods you purchased, but your probably more than likely screwed.

Side note... I always put everything on my Amex, including purchases from paypal. Theyve covered me on everything

yeap... I know they only cover physical goods that's why I'll try to charge it back as an unauthorized transaction cause the site sells software not physical goods so it'd be suspicious if I said I didn't receive the product....

Thanks for the entry m8:thumbsup ... anyone else? ... need more ideas....

paypal's chargeback system is unfair to the buyer. I always fund paypal with a credit card so I can charge back with them instead even though I used paypal. I suggest you do this if you funded it with a credit card. I had to charge back a GFYer who sold me hardlinks and them took them back just last week.

shit that sucks... although I think that for "services" they'll consider chargebacks......... I guess I'll have to come up with a good story ......
