Really? What pixels are you using on your browser?

I'm using Windows XP on a new Toshiba laptop and the image sizes look great.

What the fuck is this? I got pop-ups that shut down my browser. Fucknuts on you.

Marcus 10-15-2002 05:03 PM

Can you guys predict how many sales a gallery will generate based on it's layout and pics and text?

Vox 10-15-2002 05:06 PM

Get rid of the kb your posting under the thumbs, no one cares about that.
And optimize those pics, posting pictures at 120 - 140 kb is nuts, your going to burn too much bandwith, not too mention quality pics like that should only be used on paysite and avs.

I sugest you get image optimizer by xat.com, and drop them down to 50-60 kb range.

Your gallery is clean, but will the surfer want to click those banners? You will be lucky if you even get 1% click ratio.
Check out the top listing on the hun... don't copy... but get an inspiration to create a selling kind of gallery.

Just my :2 cents:

You must have 'Enable Automatic Image Resizing' checked in IE -- the pic I clicked on is 900x1344...

WAY to big.

Really depends on the sponsor your using, where you get listed, and if there's a full moon... I can pretty much predict my click ratio from my different galleries I create from the testing I've done... but sales... I wish

RedShoe 10-15-2002 05:13 PM

ABSOLUTELY NOT!!! And here's why. I hate it when people wear RedShoes!

Yeah they look great at a resolution of 1280x1024 but how do they look at 800x600. It's not worth the BW.

Rex 10-15-2002 05:53 PM

No I wouldn't but then again I dont have a tgp

Steve 10-15-2002 06:03 PM

I might list both of these, but I can't see them making either of you guys money. In fact, this one:
http://www.core39.com/tgpsite/hustler2/index.asp
with these huge pics, you're gonna feel it when the big boys post you. You need to resize and compress these pics. I HATE to say this, but since I started submitting, I found I have had to use larger images than I used to in order to get listed at some sites.

ugh - try 640x480 and compress them into the 40-60kb range

I used to max out my full size pics at 450 or 500, but some of the scripts will kick you back for images that "small" these days.

xanx 10-15-2002 06:31 PM

Thanks Steve

I got all the pics at 50k or below and made the full size images smaller..

Nysus 10-15-2002 06:40 PM

Tip to both of you -

Pick a specific spot on each picture to use as your thumbnails, as opposed to having your thumbnail just a smaller version of the full picture. It'll look a lot better ...

I should take up gallery building... :thumbsup

Cheers,
Matt
