All of these 'upload' and permission problems can be fixed for the
current incarnation of your system by having the technician at the hosting
company ssh into the server and run:

find /home/where/mspason.com/folder/is -type d -exec chmod 777 {} \;
find /home/where/mspason.com/folder/is -type f -exec chmod 664 {} \;

Then, the upload function for your script should ensure file
permissions are readable by the webserver with @chmod("$file", 022); immediately
after the copy into place; I'm not familiar with where this may be within the
software, as I was asked to take a cursory glance rather than a full software
audit.

They just outsourced their whole call center that was here in Tempe back in January I think. My old roommate worked there and he had to scramble to find another job inside the company before they laid him off.

It sucks, but at least people in India or Malaysia have jobs now.
