I have lost 10 in the last 2 weeks just eating a little less, and taking a daily walk. I will admit that we are walking almost 2 miles per day.

nice and congrats.
i dropped about 30 lbs since the start of the year, but it seems/feels like i dropped 40+ pounds of fat and replaced some of it with muscle.
just started eating right, cut out fast food, added fruits and veggies to the diet and lifted weights 3x a week and cardio 5x a week.
from 210 to 179
its like losing 2 bowling balls!

Sarah_Jayne 05-12-2008 09:48 AM

My monthly weigh in is tomorrow morning. I hope it will take me over near to 85lbs lost. Mnd you, I tried and it has been slower than yours :)

HotVaderMD 05-12-2008 10:02 AM

Without doing anything?? I mean no different diet or exercise? You might want to see a doctor, abnormal weight loss is not healthy. :2 cents:

yea that is actually a good point. just by cutting back on what u have been eating and not doing anything else, your body would not be able to cut that much weight naturally. i didnt pickup on that. you really should get checked out if this is the case....

iheartbucks 05-12-2008 10:22 AM

I lost about 10 lbs in the last couple of weeks, just started going to gym and eating a lot less and better

"Without even trying" or "without doing anything different." Could mean two different things.

If there has been no lifestyle changes you should probably see a doctor.

No, not without doing anything. Without trying.

I've been rather more busy than usual, and thus haven't had time to drink beer or watch movies while eating junkfood. Meanwhile, I've also been stressed out about something rather important, and stress causes weight loss as well.

So there are good causes, but I haven't had to spend a single moment worrying about dieting or exercise :)

I'm 6' tall.

Just get checked for piece of mind.

Case in point, I weighed 265+ January 2008, I'm down to 235lbs now, and still dropping.

I changed my eating habits, and am very active. 1 hour of cardio in the morning, 1-2 hours of BJJ in the afternoon, 5 times a week.

Fingers crossed for you it's just really good genetics taking over after you stopped with poor eating habits.

I would agree with that. If you haven't changed your eating or exercise you should see a doctor asap.

Stress is not good either! Better take a break before you suffer. :2 cents:

If you stopped drinking beer and eating junk food that would fall under the classification of lifestyle change.

Congrats.

Spunky 05-12-2008 05:09 PM

If I quit drinking beer I would probably lose too..good for you

stfucash_edd 05-12-2008 05:18 PM

If I quit drinking beer, I would be lonely and sad :(

cognitos 05-12-2008 05:51 PM

congrats :)

last year around this time I was 230 (and laid off like now). I've been lifting (went to light weight high rep I used to do high weight low rep) and I quit drinking beer & pop as much. I drink a shit load of sobe green tea and water. I cut my portions back (what used to be dinner can now serve as 2 meals). Plus I've started taking wal-marts GNC Mega men multi vitamin knock off along with 1000IU vitamin E, 1000MG Vitamin C, Lysine and COQ10.

Now I'm down to 185. Almost my target weight (175-180). I was 165 in 2004 (before I broke my leg).

BTW, I did have high blood pressure until I lost all the weight ! :)

cranki 05-13-2008 04:29 AM
