I am trying to do a little demo video and I need to capture an area of my screen. Suggestions on software?

PC.. Xp 64 bit..


I just need it to save like 1280x1024 screen area or something..

I have some software now.. but I can't control the mic level.. and it is just some cheapy shareware program
