Can anyone give me a small VPS for free? Pretty please?
 

I know it's a lot to ask, and it's completely non-porn related, but could anyone offer me a really small VPS account for free? I don't need to host anything on it at all - I only need syslogd running so that I can use it as a remote logging host to see why my router (which is running the third party Tomato firmware, so can log to a remote log host) seems to reboot every so often.

Just fire up a vps on your own computer? Or just setup linux on that old 486 that you have in the back of your garage?

I'd love to be in the possession of an old x86 system, but I've got squat. Looks like my only solution is to install some syslogd variant for Windows and leave it running 24/7...
