I walked out of Speed Racer 30 minutes in. It was horrible.
 

Don't waste your time or money. Worst movie I have ever seen. Even worse than The Preachers Daughter, which I also walked out of years ago.

even the commercials dont seem to exciting. seems a little over the top

nobody knows speed racer here and its in the theatres. I saw the promo on tv and within 2 seconds i knew its a fucking childish, dumb computergame on the big screen.
If you havent seen the promo and grew up with that crap, i can understand you going there.. but if you've seen the promo; what on earth were you thinking!

the previews would of told me not to waste $10 on that crap movie.

I still have yet to find anyone that ever liked the cartoon back in the day...

I talked to someone else last night who said the same thing. Called it the biggest piece of crap, ever.

And I did like the cartoon. Speed Racer and Space Giants rocked.

it got some severely bad ratings. I agree that after seeing the first trailor I knew it was a steaming pile of garbage.

I've seen ads for video games that looked better (and more real) then that crap. I'm pretty sure I'd be want my time back if I could see it for free.

I loved the cartoon as a kid, as did 3 of my 4 brothers. Also Marine Boy, Kimba the white lion (which the lion king owes it's success to) and other early Japanese cartoons.

But the movie trailers I've seen all look like a kid in his basement did it on his PC. Seriously. I dont care about seeing 40 million colors on the screen at once. Which means it's not for me.

The people on the junket arent even talking about plot or anything other than the visual aspect. You know fractal screen savers are visually pleasing as well, and dont cost 80 bazillion dollars to create.

I am old enough to vaguely recall watching that horrible cartoon when I was a young child thirty-five years ago, so I have no idea why someone would decide to bring this ancient and obscure cartoon back as a live action movie. Has anyone under thirty who is not a fan of anime even heard of Speed Racer or care about it?

I tried to walk out of Speed Racer but the movie theater bastards chain linked the doors shut just as the movie started. Nobody could get out. There were people screaming and crying. Some people were getting ill and others were actually stepping on people (who had fallen) trying to get out of the theater. It was horrendous!

Looks more like a tripping movie to me.

MTV showed it for a while 10+ years ago.

A) If you didn't sit through the WHOLE movie then your review couldn't really be trusted. maybe the last hour got ebtter, but you'll never will know no will you because you walked out.

B) 30 minutes? Well here's the first 7 minutes and it's free. You could have saved yourself some money.
