Dennis Rodman 05-06-2008 03:33 PM

Oooooh shnaps.... not fair unless they can prove it. Yes my sites are there, and i never sent an unsolicted email.

Big move for Yahoo. Not many marked however.

CyberClicks 05-06-2008 03:38 PM

I give it 30 days.... they remove the feature.. haha

NTSS 05-06-2008 03:40 PM

Upon further examination I see quite a bit of familiar site names with scarlet lettering

D Ghost 05-06-2008 03:42 PM

interesting....

Socks 05-06-2008 03:44 PM

Kinda just makes you look at the red ones first... Also makes the page hard to read.

kane 05-06-2008 03:46 PM

try this one the keywords are nude celeb
http://search.yahoo.com/search;_ylt=...t-368&ei=UTF-8

They say mr.skin, al4a and worldsex all send out unsolicited emails. interesting. I wonder where they get this info.

D Ghost 05-06-2008 03:46 PM

seems sort of borderline policing the net. this isn't good, if large companies do this type of thing, start making "internet laws" so to speak and controlling everything online. Needs to be balance of power

You have a point..makes me worry because some assholes been sending tons of spam out and spoofing my email address for several months. I would guess that Yahoo must have signed up to these programs first to make sure.

Phoenix 05-06-2008 04:00 PM

countdown until all return to addresses point at yahoo..lol

budz 05-06-2008 04:00 PM

well they dont label the sites that chat spammed through them
rofl .. thats where they should've started

bdld 05-06-2008 04:41 PM

its their site they can do whatever they want.

WiredGuy 05-06-2008 04:43 PM

Hmmm, weird, it only puts focus on them if anything to click more to be honest.

Can you just e-mail them for us and politely ask them to cease and desist?

Cash 05-06-2008 11:36 PM

Interesting new feature ... Is it manual made?

Barefootsies 05-06-2008 11:44 PM

must be a 10 millions dollar contest... whoever is the first to sue wins!

Iron Fist 05-07-2008 12:55 AM

I wonder if they partner with McAfee SiteAdvisor for their information.

fluffygrrl 05-07-2008 01:43 AM

Nah, it's not what you think :

Basically, the way to get listed is by allowing people to put their email in, and then sending them emails they don't like.

It's not policing the net and all that, is actually doing all serious/quality email marketeers a favour, by driving out the sort of muppets that just collect and spam emails.

It's certainly not easy to be joe-jabbed, seeing how the jabber'd have to have access to forms on your website.

If newsletter quality overall improves that won't be a bad thing.

AlienQ - BANNED FOR LIFE 05-07-2008 02:02 AM

Where they generate that information from?

SPEWS? Or is it people that spam the Yahoo User base with UBE?

Nice move by Yahoo though.
