How Much Traffic Do You Waste Sending A Site That has 0 Signups Before...

How much traffic (uniques) do you waste sending a site that has 0 signups...Before You Pull the Plug on advertising for it?

Sly 05-05-2008 09:39 PM

Depends on your traffic source... would that traffic have made sales with another site? If so, probably time to try something else.

st0ned 05-05-2008 09:44 PM

I usually wont send more than 1k.

aico 05-05-2008 09:52 PM

2.5 - 5k, depends on the site and the traffic source.

Christina Muller 05-05-2008 09:59 PM

some have posted on here doing 0 in 50,000 on tube traffic so I guess its all about the source and sponsor etc.

SlammedMedia 05-05-2008 10:22 PM

personally when i get a burst of tube traffic to my site from getting listed, i get crazy signups.

CIVMatt 05-06-2008 07:20 AM

I think the question is who understands their traffic the most

fris 05-06-2008 07:22 AM

prob 10-20k

kid, you've sucked tube dick in every thread, there's a high likelyhood you have a tube with stolen content or benefit from stolen content traffic.

if you want advice you can post you site where the traffic is coming from. :2 cents:

I'd agree with that and add no more then 100 hits from a members area.

tranza 05-06-2008 09:57 AM

Around 3-5k...

Elixir 05-06-2008 10:25 AM

Max 3k !

hjnet 05-06-2008 10:32 AM

No idea, I check all my stuff every few months and simply drop the worst sponsors

dave90210 05-15-2008 04:53 PM

Is that bought traffic?

I sent 11,966 unique for one sale to a known program. I switched off their program and started making 1:698 with BrazzerPass.com

I third this.

fuzebox 05-15-2008 10:48 PM

Usually around 4-5k. This kind of question is as meaningless as "what is a good conversion ratio" though, because it totally depends on your traffic. I have one site with lots of traffic but ratios in the 1:2k area, so sending 4k to see if a new site will convert or not isn't really a big deal.

GCN 05-16-2008 02:32 AM

not more than 5k

Vick! 05-16-2008 03:53 AM

depending on source and conversions of other similar content sites.

en21 05-16-2008 04:30 AM

it all depends

CurrentlySober 05-16-2008 04:59 AM

NEVER more than 2 hits... and if im feeling really generous, I'll make both of them uniques!

NikKay 05-16-2008 06:39 AM

I don't think there is one good answer to this question. The variables may include:

1. What type of traffic you are sending.
2. Where the traffic is leaving from on your page. (banner, text link, exit console, etc.)
3. What type of site you are sending the traffic to.
4. How targeted the traffic is.

PowerCum 05-16-2008 06:57 AM

I usually try with around 100k. If after sending 100k traffic there are no signups that one goes to another site.

Usually 1 million uniques tend to lead a minimum of 100 signups.

the alchemist 05-16-2008 07:02 AM

Around 2-3k...

XMaster 05-16-2008 07:07 AM

5-10k :upsidedow

I (and I'm probably speaking for the majority or people here) call bullshit on this.

Qualify this statement with some numbers or even what program you are talking about.

You call bullshit? oh, my heart's broken...

do you think I care?

just because you can't manage your traffic very well, doesn't mean everyone else has the same problem. If you know where to direct the traffic, it'll sell.

Thurbs 05-20-2008 11:13 PM

i usually hit programs for 5-7 days .. see what happens, b/c its good to take into account bad scrub days, bad sales days, bad day for saturation.

then I contact that program and see what we can do, and if they have any other recommendations. :)
