No shit the traffic is going down. How long do you think a handful of topdawg sites are going to maintain like 90% of all adult traffic, when any half witted fuck can build his own site and take a piece of that pie? My traffic grows daily, as do many other people here who haven't been at it from the beginning. That traffic is coming from somewhere, and as it finds what it wants and needs elsewhere, the need for it to go back to the same half dozen sites repeatedly slips away. Old fans of these sites stuck tot hem and were dedicated, because these were the only sites that were really prominent when they first started looking for their porn online. As a new generation of porn consumers comes along, they are finding different sites before ever making their way to the hun or worldsex, or where ever. They've taken their piece of the pie and given it to someone else. just because three sites are losing their traffic and the income is slipping, does not signal the end of times for online porn. only the end of times for massive tgps.

Quit pissing and moaning because your traffic is slipping. All I'm saying is, OF COURSE IT'S SLIPPING. Do you honestly think it's going to maintain it's number when there are hundreds of new sites popping up every day? Traffic is fluid, it flows. You've been around long enough that you should know this. Give it more room to flow and it will spread out further. Get off your fucking highhorse and think about it. Times are changing, deal with it. What are you going to do when they hit a 40-50% drop? Sit in a corner and cry about it??? There's hundreds of little guys picking away at your piece of the pie, and more coming, it's going to continue. The days of making huge bank with a couple of big tgps are over. Fight for your traffic and adapt like everyone else.

I agree, my affiliates count for only 20% of the sales I receive to my sites... I've had to build my own traffic sources for the past year and I'm glad I did it. Now my sites can thrive on "type ins". It does make you wonder how long the "affiliate based" way of doing things will last. Porn companies are giving away $50-100 PPS, I mean let's be serious, does an affiliate really think they are getting PPS for EVERY sale they send to a big porn company??? Looks like alot of blind eyes not excepting the truth

Systemic pattern. Tube sites are winning and just may subdue listings.

That seems to be what the facts are pointing to.

The first two weeks in April were pretty bad too and barely made enough to cover the rest of the month. Not really sure what happened but what I did I my end is to refresh my sites with new ads, photos and graphics. I also upgraded my server to cut the load time. My traffic is climbing steadily and my traffic from Google has been tripled. Adapting is the name of the game and traffic is always king.

Traffic may get you seen, but Quality is King...

Tube format is quicker, searchable, and pretty much instant for video playback.
One must find a way to "Up" the experience.

The video quality in Tube sites are not all that bad either.

The Audiences are the same the traffic is much larger the incentive to buy however is decreasing rapidly. Exclusivity in media or product is the future and seemingly the only way ahead to drive sales.

I revisted a site recently to see what I could see. It was not any of the sites listed, but it was one that was quite productive back in my gallery days. I couldnt believe the galleries I was seeing and the terrible job of categorizing content.

Some galleries loaded and I couldnt see any content until I scrolled down to find it. That used to get you rejected.

The thumbs were JPEGS and upon clicking it, the movie was entirely different. At NO point in the clip did anything resembling the thumb happen. ie: one thumb showed an on-her-knees blowjob, the movie was on-her-back fucking. That used to get you rejected and punched!

I clicked one in the "Big Tits" category, and it was an interracial 3 way gallery. I shit you not. That used to get you rejected and banned for being a complete idiot!!

Half the galleries had embedded flash, half had mpegs, and there was no distinction in the listings or categorization. Missed opportunity?

It's a problem for sure. I'm personally moving toward the service side of adult to subsidise my income. I have a few projects in the works however I'm also slowly planning my exit from adult. The economy is bad and this April was the worst month I've had in a few years, so I sure hope it's not a sign of things to come.
