Finally sold a domain
 

Now I know what you domain pushers are in the biz for! Bought a domain in 2004 for $7 Made a small income from them until now, and just sold the name for $2,000

What was the domain?

Which instantly ruins your judgement of domain values causing you to look like an ass over the next decade when you offer domains for $20,000 to $500,000 that aren't worth the $7 registration fee.

was the domain valued based solely on the name, or was it a traffic/pr/age thing or some of both? did it get random type in traffic?

i bought a domain, built a site, and sold it 2 months later for $2,000 all while making money off it the whole time...

If you have the skill to flip a $7 name into a $20k sale a year later, it's likely that you also have the skill to avoid the gross overpricing you describe above.
