Why is g00gle AnalTics better than awstats?
 

is there anything is gives that you cannot get from awstats? so why install bigbrother?

I'm one of the paranoid ones...wouldn't touch it with a ten foot pole.

i like both in combination.
awstats firstly monitors everything secondly isnt really capable of viewing timelines like analytics can, but it also presents some of the info in a better way.

Well awstats sucks balls, google a bit better but there's lots more indepth

What ticks me off is that neither will give me a thread ID.

All I see in either stats is "gfy.com/showthread.php"

That does me very little good.

set URLReferrerWithQuery=1 in your awstats config file and it should work.

picture a world where google gives a tiny bump in the serps to google analytic installed sites, or assumes more traffic/relevancy to some that have the analytics vs. those that don't

Go google !

why don't you actually TRY using google analytics. It's completely different than AWSTATS.
