Rumor Control: I heard that a major DVD Distributor

in Chatsworth closed its doors for good. From what I gathered through second hand info, it was the second largest distributor of adult DVDs and was housed in a 40,000 sq foot facility in Chatsworth. I haven't been able to get any info from people who I thought would have it.

It is important for all of us to know these things if they in fact are true.

Anyone know that wants to put it out there?

Hrmm.. An unstaffed warehouse with thousands of porn flicks... nobody around...

Fuck, I bet LC is on his way right now with bolt cutters!

Does not surprise me, here is why

1. The large DVD buyers deal directly with studios cutting out the middle guy
2. Distributors tend to sell to mid to small guys who are notoriously late paying their bills
3. DVD volume / margins are going down so much that i don't think they could justfy having that big of a warehouse

Really? They had a 40k size warehouse?

Cool maybe they can throw a Party in there now. Who knows.
I am just merely saying Digital Distribution is what most likely caused the closure.

Didnt you say the other day something about Digital Distribution being the final outcome for the video companies? Wait that was someone else actually.

I invented Digital Distribution:)

On another note I got an idea what center you are talking about.
If they are the second then is it GVA West? If so they still have Facility in San Francisco ( That is alot larger ) anyways so an LA closure would be no big deal.

No, I edited to say that I don't or never heard of them "Digital Distribution". THought you meant it was a company name. But yes, Digital distribution is the future of course.
