You think the number of American death in Iraq is bad?

4000+ KIA American Soldiers in Iraq so far represent only a fraction of American losses in earlier wars. America lost 58,000 in Vietnam and 405,000 in the Second World War.

I would say America is getting much better at warfare.

The 405K was all. Give it time.:(

Not that they are getting better at warfare, but the wars are different.

If the people in Iraq were Truly able to fight back, the KIA number would be much higher.

Yes, comparing the invasion of Iraq to World War 2 is an entirely fair comparison.

It's kinda hard to compare we have no idea of the future tolls this war will put on us...I hope 4000 is the final # but it's highly unlikely with no end in sight.

The United States of America, is the #1 fighting force in the world, hands down. There is no country that comes close in comparison. I don't understand why people complain about casualties, it's WAR, and death is bound to happen no matter what walk of like you look at.

I think the Romans would disagree were they still here. Perhaps you need to qualify your statement with a "right now". Even then I think there are other countries that have greater numbers who would fight a more fearless fight. Technology is great, but numbers and knowing the terrain is always going to win out.
