so? The guy was/is a terrorist.

wikipedia:
"In 1961, Mandela became the leader of the ANC's armed wing, Umkhonto we Sizwe (translated as Spear of the Nation, also abbreviated as MK), which he co-founded. He coordinated a sabotage campaign against military and government targets, and made plans for a possible guerrilla war if sabotage failed to end apartheid. A few decades later, MK did wage a guerrilla war against the regime, especially during the 1980s, in which many civilians were killed. Mandela also raised funds for MK abroad, and arranged for paramilitary training."

"Mandela later admitted that the ANC, in its struggle against apartheid, also violated human rights"

wikipedia:

"The MK carried out numerous bombings of military, industrial, civilian and infrastructural sites. The tactics were initially geared solely towards sabotage, but eventually expanded to include urban guerrilla warfare, which included human targets. Notable among these were the 8 January 1982 attack on the Koeberg nuclear power plant near Cape Town"

"The Truth and Reconciliation Commission found several instances of torture—even though it wasn't official policy— and executions "without due process" at ANC detention camps particularly in the period of 1979—1989"

"In 1983, the Church Street bomb was detonated in Pretoria near the SA Air Force Headquarters, resulting in 19 fatalities and 217 persons injured, some of whom were military, and many were civilians."

The one really good demostration of why the whole "we don't negotiate with terrorists" is
stupid. Sometimes they go on to win Nobel Peace Prize.

Even the 'head terrorist' Yasser Arafat wins the Nobel Peace Prize!
What a joke.
