There are some exceptions and you can see them rising above the pile. But look at the general model of many sponsors, yes include me if you like. Build a site with exclusive content that's no different from 1,000 other sites and then send as much traffic as possible.

Keep the content budget to a minimum and spend, spend, spend on the marketing.

Now tell me the the few sites that did it different to prove me wrong and we will all ignore the other 95%. :upsidedow

I wish I could say you are completely wrong, but you are partially right.

I think the other big thing right now is the housing market is screwing things up big time.

The economy is not helping, but I've been through a few recessions and porn has never been as badly effected as it is this time. My above post can also be attributed to the DVD industry and not just the Internet.

They are just as guilty at filling more shelves with more shit and are confounded the consumer is not buying and pointing to free porn as the reason. The last time I went to the Berlin show I was amazed at the prices most were paying and the crap they were selling, in most cases.

There is only so much you can do to flavor shit. In the end it's still tastes like shit.

However the moment someone comes out with a good, different, better product my ICQ lites up with people asking me how much to shoot it. Then they tell me they can get it cheaper. But when they launch it's no different from what they had. :Oh crap

The last clown to ask was after "Party Hardcore" types scenes for $10,000 or was it $20,000 I forget I was laughing too much. They never launched the site.

The future is clear, spend on the product and make it so good it's worth buying, worth promoting and worth taking off all the illegal sites.

Where are the troils to tell us their program is doing well because it has a morphing RSS feed? :winkwink:

good post Mark, I like some of the howigotrich sites for doing things differently, from my experience the big boob niche will always sell b/c the models are just plain hard to find. Mark was there ever a time when you couldnt find a fresh face to shoot?

Magic join links just don't convert like they used to :(
