Trials are offered, but you can't market them directly. Many people take them too, and of course full credit is given for these sales.

Is this something that still attracts new affiliates?

I think it has alot more to do with the program than the affiliate. i.e. The "affiliate" (read: surfer who thinks hes a webmaster) flakes out and is never to be seen again, well now those sites can be absorbed into the programs existing traffic network without worries of lost sales or revenue, and it's search engine friendly as well.

If I was a program owner, i'd do the same thing. Of course, i'm not, so you already know what I think about this whole idea. :)

Free hosting isn't something we just decided to do out of the blue. We did give it some thought and figured it would be worth a try. If it does nothing but burn bandwidth and make no sales... what do you think we'll do then? :winkwink:

The thing is that offering free hosting puts more of our link codes out there, and down the line makes them more attractive to search engines etc etc... Plus, it can be a very helpful and useful tool for many affiliates.
