Serving your country in the military is a noble thing to do. What the military is doing however might not be.

Working in the porn industry I think a lot of our parents probably look at us that way. Not necessarily approving of what we do but proud of our accomplishments none-the-less.

I have nothing against the military, have some family who are or were servicemen, including my dad who was a long time Marine. I do, however, have a problem with the governments foriegn military policy but that is a different debate.

That said people like yourself who talk about how everyone else is "pussies" and yet never served a day in the armed forces make me laugh and annoyed at the same time. Its easy to talk shit and be all hard ass when you're sitting behind a computer screen, which basically makes you no better than all the people who bash the US and its soldiers.

Not everyone confuses the US government with its soldiers...supporting the troops is a good thing but having blind loyalty to your government and its actions is unAmerican.

Unfortunately, "defending the country" is not as clear cut as you imply.

Things changed after 9/11 and it became clear there was less margin for error with our national security, and less tolerance for menacing dictators.

In the long run, the Iraq war will be very good for Mid East peace.
