I got stopped by the coolest cop...
Coming back from lunch today, my foot "accidentally" pushed on the gas pedal too hard and in some freak move, the care managed to surpass 80 miles per hour....
anyways, a cop noticed my situation and decided to let me know about it by flashing his lights at me... I was thinking "shit, I don't have boobs, so probably not going to be able to talk my way out of this ticket" Well, in reaching for my registration and proof of insurance, I bump the stereo with my head and the music goes louder...I happened to be listening to SLAYER's "Reign In Blood" so, the cop approaches and I hear him say "SLAYER" in that way all Slayer fans approach each other. he then proceeds to tell me he loves the band and that album is a classic. So, I figure "here goes nothing" and tell him "yeah, listening to it while driving gets me a little pumped and sometimes I tend to hit the gas a little harder". He then hands me back my license, etc. and says "no problem. Just keep it at the speed limit and have a nice day" What luck to be stopped by the one cop that loves Slayer, haha |
Hahaha, that's awesome.
|
hahaha, awesome!

There's always something that will let you walk, you just need to find it...
I'm up to 70+ pull overs... 1 ticket issued... |

Feels almost as good as a lottery win.

I am either listening to Britney Spears Album's BLackout or songs from the 80's like pet shop boys and Madonna's Material Girl when driving. Think cops will let me go with that music?

Only time in my life I got pulled over, was by a lady cop with a serious attitude..
|
Reminds me of a time in 1984 - a cop pulled me over on a Toronto highway (for a burned-out taillight). He asks me where I was going.
"Downtown to Maple Leaf Gardens for a concert," I told him. "Oh, goin' to see Van Halen?" he asks. "Yeppa," I said. "You got tickets yet?" he asks. "Naw, hopin' to score some scalps," I replied. "Good luck with that," he says, hands me back my driver's license and says, "Throw your four-ways on and you should be okay," and tells me to have a good evening. No ticket. It was an omen. Not only did I manage to grab one of the last parking spots in the Carlton St. lot directly across from the Gardens before they closed the gates, I also snagged a premium gold ticket from a scalper, and saw the concert from 6th row floors that night. :thumbsup |
Haha thats great!

That's a riot! I wonder if that cop always decides whether or not to ticket someone based on their taste in music. Hmm...

The only time a Canadian cop has let me off with just a warning has been while riding my old motorcycle back in the mid 80's. On two separate occasions I was let go. Otherwise Canadian cops are pretty rigid about it, I have never been "let go" while driving a car....
Only in the states that has happened. In the summer of '82 a cop pulled me over near Santa Barbara Ca, I think I had some black sabbath playing. This dude didn't look like a sabbath fan though... but he did remark about me being from Canada, that's probably what did it. Everyone loves Canadians. :D |

I found that if I actually just keep my mouth shut and don't act like an ass, I have fewer problems with cops...amazing, eh? hehe Now, the Kansas cop was another story, but I can see his point...a long haired hippy with Nevada plates driving 90 in a 70...POW: double priced ticket, haha |
