10/6/02 - We are sad to announce that on November 30th, 2002, we will be shutting down this web site. Over the past couple of months, many circumstances have arisen that have made it extremely difficult for us to continue with new updates. Since I am no longer making enough profit to justify the hosting fees, business licenses and taxes, I'm going to have to call it quits.


The nail in the coffin came yesterday from our credit card processor (Ibill). It seems that they want me to come up with $750.00 by November 1st if I want to continue to accept credit cards. This is something I simply cannot do. We have checked out other credit card billing services, but none seem to be worth the time, effort and expense it would take to switch over.

Why doesn't he just continue to run his site without accepting credit cards? Someone did a test, a few days ago, using only web900 and online cheques, and had some promising results.

Yes, and you can opt out of Visa, and not have to pay the $750.00

Or just use a "lite" option accepting only mastercard. And give heavier emphasis to online checks, such as making that option a couple bucks cheaper.

To make loads of cash, especially for amateurs:
Switch the Pay Site to AVS and start banking again.
Anyone who leaves "because" of Visa is looking for a way out.

Agreed.....Hey if some of the small sites cant even afford a 750.00 charge then they shouldnt be in this biz anyway. So their surfers are now available for someone else to get. I'm not being mean, but lets get real, the days of the easy money in this biz are over. Either you are a player and are strong, or it's time to get out.

They wanted out anyway. That's obvious. If your site is good enough, guys will send you checks in the mail.

Someone should tell these amateurs about good AVS systems that pay on the signup and on the rebill.

Not saying VISA is doing the right thing but ... 750 $ isn't big if you run your own site . The guy deserve to quit if he can't make enough money he's just wasting precious traffic :)
