I always used to laugh at the tiny tiny cars they drive in Italy, now I understand why theyre so small, And Im sure American cars will be looking like that in the next 10-20 years.

btw isnt Honda coming out with a car that runs on water? I keep seeing comercials for it.

Hazlewood 04-28-2008 09:00 AM

The government is taking us all for a ride, I dont care baout the current lack of oil. I live in Canada and we have the 2nd largest reserve in the world which is currently being tapped. we should have better gas prices than the U.S.

I talked to the guy who delivers my oil and he's been in the oil business his whole life and its passed down from his father, so he knows what he's talking about.

He says we have plenty of oil, Enough supply to last 100s of years, so theres no shortage.
He says we have a gigantic supply in Alaska but environmentalists keep blocking us from drilling.

He also said we're using Russian oil right now, which is a half a cent cheaper, and it smells like rotten eggs because they dont refine it well.

I just filled half a tank on my car, just an mid sized car, and it was $40. I couldnt believe it.

GAMEFINEST 04-28-2008 09:15 AM

Thats not why gas is so expensive. its because the dollar is in the crapper and oil is traded in dollars. Also its not like they drill the oil up in alaska and it just goes to america. It goes on the open market to the highest bidder.

IllTestYourGirls 04-28-2008 09:33 AM

fed is about to cut rates again. expect it to go from the crapper to the sewer.

That really sucks. I would suggest trying to figure out some kind of other solution like... moving closer to work, more fuel efficient transportation, working from home if it's possible, car pooling... Oil is likely only going up more... :(

GetSCORECash 04-28-2008 10:09 AM

$50.00 to fillup the wife's mini-van. It used to be $30.00.

This just confirms that you know an idiot, now as far as repeating well that does not say the best.

There is not enough anywhere to last 100 years. Hell we have depleted around half of the worlds supply already if not more in the last 80 years or so and the consumption rate has really been accellerating. For instance we used more in the last 20 than the previous 60, and we have used more in the last 10 than that first 20.

Then debated again here before. Anwar is not the answer and it would supply the US with out 5-8% of its need for about 2 years max before it hit peak and then died off. Only thing we would do in Alaska is make the oil companies a few more billion, make some local indians a few million, give residents some more money each year and of course fuck up one of the last non fucked up places on this planet.

Emil 04-28-2008 12:06 PM

A bit more than $2/liter here... :(

Hazlewood 04-28-2008 01:30 PM

costs me $93 to fill up... sucks
