On Quality Trades - I give up!
 

I run a nice little movies post and I'm having one hell of a time finding decent trades. Most of the quality sites that I wanted to trade with told me 3 weeks ago that I didn't have enough traffic. So, I went from doing 2k per day to doing 15-20k per day in 3 weeks. Now that I have the traffic, I'm sending most of my trades 150-200% returns with very little to show for it. Through extensive networking and long icq chats, I've secured a few good trades and some just by pure luck. How the fuck do you do it guys? I'm stumped here.

Any msg board with posts about "trade 1k+ with my site", you know right away that the poster is 99% of the time, full of shit and has no traffic. So can anyone give me any advice here? :thumbsup

I've noticed moviepost link trading has been down this fall compared to prior years. last 2 years before this, there were more tgp webmasters than you could shake a stick at. Most of the signifigant movie post sites out there these days arent interested in breeding more competition ... YES more moviepost == LESS money for you. so if you wanna trade w/ ppl these days your gonna have to get bigger via trading with smaller sites, absorbing their bookmarkers and then forcing bigger sites to trade w/ you.

you might wanna do some galleries or something... more money in them anyway (unless your thehun or something) =)

very insiteful and I myself had come to the same conclusion....after hours upon hours of browsing other movie sites I've noticed that the top ones are actually a very small, closely conected circle. Only problem with smaller sites is that one day they're here, the next gone...hate having to replace 10 trades a day that only send me 50-100 hits.

given that u did not have a lot of feeder sites to start with i think ur not doing too badly there.... give it time dude

time isnt the problem...anything i could do tomorrow, i could to today :thumbsup
