What do you do when you write to a program to do business and....

....they do not respond? Do you write to them a second time or move on?

This industry is full of the biggest amount of flakes and non-responder's I have seen in any industry. There are many programs that have missed out on some decent business simply because they are brain-dead or have brain-dead people manning the support box.

Thats not just in adult.. its the same everywhere..

IllTestYourGirls 04-27-2008 10:59 AM

I fucking hate that. What I hate the most is when THEY ICQ YOU and then you answer them and they leave you sitting there for 10, 20, 30 mins without saying anything. :321GFY I just move on and send my little traffic to someone else.

Yah uhh... It's nice to think that they don't respond because they are brain-dead..

But maybe the problem is YOU?

Also people ICQ sucks a big fat one. I've flipped out on people and had them flip out on me over ICQ not sending/receiving messages...

I would try to contact the program one more time in different way, cause sometimes emails not getting to their destinations, or get blocked by company filters. It happened to me when I tried to communicate with Epoch. In the end after opening a thread on GFY I get in contact with Rand, the story was they had problems with mail server. So the bottom line is try to icq them if you got no answer to your email.

Maybe they thought your messege was not worth the time it would take to type a response.

It helps to mention names so it does not happen as often...

SO whats the deal?

It all depends on what you were offering. If it was to send traffic, set up some custom stuff with some ideas on how to monetise better, then I'd say the company was dumb.

If it was to tell them how to make $1m in under a week with some pyramid scheme, I'd say you got what you deserved.

Post the letter, don't need to know who to, and let the jury be judge....

If those programs receive half as much spam as I do, forgive them for missing your email and give them a phone call :2 cents:

baddog 04-27-2008 12:13 PM

I decide if I am of more benefit to them or are they needed by me, then react accordingly.

In other words, if my plan will work equally well with anyone, I go find someone that will respond. If it only works with that one program, I keep trying.

When all else fails, there is this new fangled contraption called a sell fone or something like that. You can probably Google it to get the exact name.

Ditosta 04-28-2008 01:05 PM

You should try giving them a call

Phoenix 04-28-2008 01:06 PM

that sucks...try another person at the company?

Jdoughs 04-28-2008 01:33 PM

Most reps i see have it set to notify of messages and to NOT accept messages from people not in your contacts.

Any rep with that setting on, should be fired.

This exact thing has cost many prog's much of my business. If you are stupid enough to pay a rep to be in contact with us, and that contact is missed or avoided for the most part, then you, as an owner, are a fucking retard and don't deserve my sales.

Nothing pisses me off more then being ignored, and responding to me that " I didn't see the message" is bullshit, especially when its clearly their fault.

You give us contact numbers and emails for a reason, wake up.

IllTestYourGirls 04-28-2008 01:35 PM

Im talking about when the convo goes like this: them "Hello how are you?" me "I am doing well and yourself?" no response. I guess they went to see how they were feeling. :error

And it is just bad business not to respond even if they did not want to do business with me at all.

Just try again by icq, different email or by calling them. If still no response then decide if it is still worth pursuing them or not.
