Wordpress is by far one of the biggest heaps of insecure shit I have ever come across. Probably because they release it so damn often.

The new built-in instant upgrade is for plugins. There is an instant upgrade plugin for the actual WP script though.

I've been screwing around with textpattern quite a bit recently. So far I am loving it. I just wish I had started a few of my more popular sites using it. Now I am stuck with wordpress since I am used to some of the functionality I get from plugins.

It's incredibly easy to make your own TextPattern plugins; someone even made an admin plugin that lets you write/edit/encode them to base64 directly from within TXP. Rolling things over isn't all that difficult, but being how obnoxious most WP SQL is, it might not help at all.

I love how extendable TXP is, and how you can make it look like absolutely nothing alike another one.

Wordpress 2.5 fucking sucks.
I made the big mistake of upgrading one of my sites and the admin interface makes me want to rip my eyes out. I keep getting constant errors when posting and for some reason it randomly decides to send some posts to the Drafts area instead of actually posting.

I´m taking a serious look at Movable Type and Textpattern. I´m gonna miss some of my plugins and themes though.
