Can I buy a gun in the US?

Can tourists or people with a greencard buy a gun in the USA? Or at least rent some and fire them on a field?

After Shock Media 04-25-2008 06:05 PM

Sure why not?

Oh define type of gun, which state, etc. Does it have to be legal.

DirtyProfits 04-25-2008 06:12 PM

In California and yes should be legal. I wanna know how it feels to fire a gun and here in Europe it's not easy to get one so I thought I could fire some when I am in the US again.

You can definitely go to a range and rent one. Not sure about the ability to purchase. Would not think so.

Rent yes.
Not sure on handgun laws for Europeans due to background checks. Not sure if gunshow would loophole that. I am also certain someone else will answer soon. Oh they also can possibly confirm that you can buy a shotgun or riffle unless more shit has changed.

Though I would just rent at a shooting range if your on vacation and fire many. If you can hit NV I am fairly certain they still have the range with automatic weapons.

You can rent them, just about every type of weapon aswell as machine and shot guns.

You should plan your trip, you maybe able to get a lesson at a range from current or ex military/police instructer on how to defend yourself if someone breaks into your home.

I took one of these courses and it was awsome. The room was pitch black the instructor was shadowing me all the way and giving me pointers as to what to look at. Even if you are not into weapons this is an experience you have to do.

You will walk out of one these courses with the confidence, that if you had to defend your home from an intruder, you could take care of the situation.

if somebody breaks into your home simply pull out the assault rifle and hold the trigger down until the person quits moving.... end of lesson

most legal assault rifles are semi auto

so you would have to pull the trigger a whole bunch of times :2 cents:

You can buy them in just about any American Section 8 neighborhood... you don't even need to license or register them.
