Is there an automatic way to grab gallery pics?
 

Is there some software product out there that will let you enter in the free hosted gallery URLs from your sponsors, then go out and crawl the sites to grab and download both the photos and thumbs?

I am familiar with Gallery Scrapper but that seems to prepare images for RSS feeds and blogs. I want something that will just grab the images automatically and save them to a folder on my hard drive.

3) custom programming to integrate into your own system

bump... this would help me too.. I got a couple submitters and if they could grab them themselves, that would help me tremendously.

now you can save the page and then download all the images, but you still gotta edit the html to point to your server.

I don't suppose anyone has a link to Gallery Demon? I did a google search and all that came up were gallery pages with pictures of demons.

yea me too... ima keep looking, but I think those links he provided were server side apps. Correct me if I'm wrong, but you're looking for something that you download to the desktop, enter the FHG address and click grab.. Then the program will go out, grab the whole gallery from the site, then save it to a folder on you HD, then you can fire up chameleon and send it off..

Is that what you mean? I've got a couple people that submit for me and I don't wanna keep building them galleries. (Dont get me wrong, this is the best way, (outbound links, etc)...

They are just noob enough to use the chameleon program. If they could do the above, then I could export the FHG list from a sponser, then give em the list and have em go, grab the FHG gallery and re-submit it..

If no one has something like this, I would definately be interested in writing it in C or VB. Someone get at me.

I of course would recommend Arylia. Also version 3 is in beta now and you can download the copy for free to try while the beta period runs.
