Like tours with typos, articles with errors burn my guiche, do they even proofread these things or just try to beat everyone to the story? There's probably more in there that I missed...

I believe that AP outsources its "reporting" to India now.

Many, many years and several careers ago, a writer I fired ended up at the AP.
I called a friend at the AP to ask how that could have happened.
His response:
"You have to understand, we pay writers less than almost everyone else. So we have to hire people who are competent.....but just barely." :1orglaugh
