I guess I was mistaken. I thought this was at heart a site for the business-minded. Turns out it just a large bunch of wang-waving motherfuckers with nothing better to do.

So, Equinox, lets see your shit; I've been programming professionally for 10 years and I dare you to show me something better.

My point with Alt.com was that their software is old. It's inefficient, it wasn't even designed for it's current level of use, it's FriendFinder v2. Bondage.com's done very well, but .jsp has slowed them to a crawl. Casualkiss's .asp keeps crashing under load. modPERL is the best for those who dare to program in it.

Okay, Matt, you are right. After re-reading my own post, I guess it does kinda look like bragging... lol, I assure all readers that it wasn't my intention to brag. There's no point in bragging about two-years of un-remunerated work.

I wanted to see who would bite. A partner? Open hosting maybe? Also, the whole idea is there, it's raw and it's obvious what I'm planning; I wanted to see if anybody thought it was a good idea, a bad idea, or had any input on it... I failed English class, I have trouble getting my intention accross in text I guess!

I've worked the web since I was 14 years old, and I've made a meager income on everything I've done, but this will be my first adult project, I'm told this forum is the place to get input form the best of the best in this industry.

As for why no link? I have a few personals sites up, image work hasn't been done so they don't look very good, and they all use my first version of the scripts, which is nearly two years old - I love'm but they're not very impressive, and they won't be until I get around to updating them. I don't really want to do it just yet because I want to be able to SLAM it out when I've got the marketing $$$'s and the system to handle the traffic.

well you can't be overly sensitive if you are going to post on GFY.....read through some of the archives here......... look at the
name of this website GO FUCK YOURSELF........ so it's part of what GFY is all about - lots of complete idiots smearing caca on the wall, some irreverence, and some good info and networking opportunities.

if you have any real talents, scripting i guess is what you say your strength is, people will have time for you and you might find a partner or some paid work.

Traffic is everything in porn as well.

But good scripting, good content, good domain name etc etc counts as well.

Lovematch looks ok, i don't see anything special i haven't seen in other 'personals' scripts.

As I said, it's really not much to look at - and kinda hard to use as it is. But thanks for taking a look at it; maybe my friend was right in sending me here for advice afterall!
