How many of you guys forward all your pop3 stuff to gmail?

With all the spam out there it's just ridiculous. I have many important e mails going straight to my deleted box in outlook bc. of the rules I have set in place. I just want to know how good google e mail is?

Bro Media - BANNED FOR LIFE 04-24-2008 11:55 AM

I do, and its good.

tranza 04-24-2008 11:57 AM

I forward about 75% of it.

DirtyProfits 04-24-2008 12:00 PM

I stopped using [email protected] and use gmail now. Much more comfortable and I also use the Google calendar.

I do all of mine - works perfect albeit a couple minutes delay. I used to get a couple of thousand spams downloaded to my PC before I implemented it. Now I get tops 10 a day that makes it through their filters.

I work with gmail all the time - spam has gone down to almost zero if any while others in the company complain of wasting so much time clearing their folders out

CyberHustler 04-24-2008 12:08 PM

I forward ALL OF IT TO GMAIL! I fucking love gmail.

FreeHugeMovies 04-24-2008 12:11 PM

Does Gmail allow pop 3 as well or is it a web based service?

DaddyHalbucks 04-24-2008 12:12 PM

Gmail is good.

:)

BradM 04-24-2008 12:14 PM

I do, it's amazing. I use it for everything.

Strickie 04-24-2008 12:15 PM

Gmail is working great for me, hardly any spam.

Yes, and Yes. Google can tell you how to make it work with your client, too.

Sosa 04-24-2008 06:30 PM

sounds like something I need to do.

Furious_Male 04-24-2008 07:29 PM

I use it for my older POP3 accounts. It works well.

Wagerboy 04-24-2008 07:33 PM

I do use gmail for everything, yes. great filters...

ungratefulninja 04-24-2008 08:28 PM

I have gmail host my webmaster@domain for me. It's more reliable than the last several hosts I had.

rowan 04-24-2008 08:33 PM

Find something local to run so google doesn't get to index all of your mail.

bdld 04-24-2008 08:37 PM

i forward it all to gmail, works great.

CarolCox 04-24-2008 08:47 PM

We just have all our own mail servers (have since 1995), and I don't understand the need for Google for mail. The anti-spam software and rules we have in place do an excellent job in catching spam. And while I do check my Junk Folder before deleting any mail, I'm only seeing about 1 good mail in 30,000 ending up in there. I also hate anything external touching my business correspondence, I do try to limit that.

The one thing I am seeing is a huge increase in spam from people using gmail.com e-mail accounts. Google allows anyone (or anything) to use their service.

Rochard 04-24-2008 09:25 PM

I also use Gmail to pick up all of my pop3 email. It rocks.

I also use Google docs and Google calendar as well.
