Pepsi announces a quarter profit rise.

and in the pas few days there have been many more.

Companies can still be posting profits while the overall economy is going into a recession. Ford bought out s shit load of retirements and did assorted other cost cutting measures. Pepsi deals in junk foods and water. So forth.

Hmm.

Maybe I'll market my sites to strictly Ford and Pepsi employees, then. Ha.

Like I tell my brother everyday... stop worrying about the global economy, the national economy, and the local economy... worry about the personal economy and everything will be okay.

By the way, that $100 million profit is still a drop in profits. Even if it was a full-blown recession, that doesn't mean people don't make money.

You could have 100 companies. Out of those 100, 60 could be close to broke. That still leaves 40 companies making profit.
