CCBill Email - WTF?

I don't like they way emails to affiliates are formatted since a few weeks. They all come from address "[email protected]" and sometimes you don't even know who has sent them - which is of course not only CCBill's fault. Like the one I just got:

"Hi, As you may have noticed, all our sites are currently down. Our host server has moved to a new data center and we have had to change the ip addresses to the server. We are now stuck waiting for the ip addresses to propogate.
Hopefully everything will be back up and back to normal soon, but it could take another 24 hours or so.

Just wanted to let you all know what was happening and why the sites have currently disappeared.

Morph."

With such an email I don't even know which sites he's talking about...

Well thats not really ccbill's fault that would be the person sending its fault.

biskoppen 04-23-2008 06:26 AM

I told CCBILL about this problem weeks ago...

Probably not but I remember that the sponsors' emails used to have a real sender address, even when sent through the CCBill system.
For example MET-Art's emails came with [email protected] as sender even though the return address was [email protected]. At least you immediately knew where the emails were coming from.

haha.. funny! And sad at the same time lol

Might be sponsors not filling in the admin info correctly.

No, I don't think so. They are all showing [email protected] as sender now, including the ones that used to show the correct address before.

No, its actually happening.

What is also happening is when you put in these codes into affiliate emails....

%%partner_id%%: Your affiliate's ID number
%%firstName%%: Your affiliate's first name
%%lastName%%: Your affiliate's last name
%%companyName%%: Your affiliate's company name

...they aren't working either. This may be working for some, but its not for us.

Ive put in a bug report, but its still not fixed.
Anyone else getting this issue?

The reply to addresses have been fixed! I have performed some tests and the place holder variables seem to be working fine. Please hit me up if these are not working for you.

Paul,

Now we're at problem solving... you might wanna fix the error that makes affiliates getting this message when trying to edit the details of a program

"Unable to update your information at this time. Please try later."

This happens 90% of the times and is probably the most annoying thing in the entire universe

I'm always at problem solving :winkwink:

This is the first I have heard of the 'please try later' issue. I will look into it right now.
