Do you work during the day or over night?
 

I used to work over night so that people would leave me alone to just work but a few years ago I swapped to fairly normal daytime working hours so that I could better interact with the real world.

What sort of working hours do you keep?

Dont focuse on time. It will just eat me up. Sometimes i work, work, work, wake up.. watch the clock its 3am and i start working again. Kinda always working when iam home. Dont watch much tv, movies or stuff like that. So i work a lot more then having sparetime. If day or night doesnt really matter.

I work at night.. I work with people in Europe and it allows me to get my shit done when I start and then work with them in the morning.

I think it would depend on the project, I know when I'm pushing I will work regardless time or day to finish it or until it's complete or to the point of physical exhaustion (not good obviously). Working for a company, normal hours 8 till 6...

As a business owner though you don't stop because stopping means wasted money - then when you have down time and don't need to work as hard anymore, you end up thinking you're wasting time...so find more work to do

I usually swap it around - my sleeping pattern is always changing. I prefer to work nights as I'm usually left alone and find it easier to code. However as of this morning I've reversed my sleeping pattern again. This time back to the 'normal' hours. After a few days of being pissed off by the sun and nagged by my girlfriend. I'll go back to the darkness.

Mmm, darkness. Cold, damp and so comforting.

I try to get out of bed at 8-9am and work till I finish. I like watching tv, thats how I relax so I try to fit in a couple of hours per night, or playing my PS3. Not been working out that way lately tho, too much work to do.

Now that I have 2 kids, I can't do anything at night anymore. I wake up with the boys at 6 or 7 am every single day so if I don't get into bed by midnight, I'm screwed the entire next day.

Before I had kids though, it was quite common for me to work all night.

i try to do most in the day but it always flows over into the night, specially if i'm making somthing new and excited about it, i just keep working till its done.

I used to work all night long but now I wake up early and try to work normal business hours.

Working right night now, staying oversees on a shared line so it gets too slow daytime

I work 8-5 generally, however I also work many evenings to get things squared away.

I usually work at night to have also some free time at the day... I even worked other stuff too...

During the day

My work schedule is actually a combination of day and night hours :) Though I usually am more productive at early night hours (9 pm till midnight).

I work during the day most of the time. Some evenings depending on what I have going on during the day.

But... when I have a new project, or something new I am working on. I revert back to 16-18 hour days, round the clock until launched, or perfected. I used to work more at night. But not now.

I usually start around 2 PM and finish around 3 AM, sometimes I finish at the sunrise..

This way I catch the best from the both sides of the Ocean.

Same with me but with husbands...all good working overnight until it meant we weren't living the same life. Funny how real life slips in.

I've pretty much arrange it to be a 'normal' 09-17 day job with few night exceptions :-)

overnight....trying to change to daytime though..........the graveyard shift is too fucked up..I'm going to sleep right now (7:30 AM local time) .........good night........lol :)

Im working day and night and got only 3 hrs sleep

7Am till 5Pm at the desk. Then im in and out from 5pm till about 10 or 11pm.

Pretty much the same here.

I work day and night and I only get a meager 3-4 hrs sleep. ;(

Work all day. Then a mix a poker and work at night. :)

I used to work at night that's the time that im convenient and im very productive. :)

Yeah that isn't too far off what I really do. I have set day hours where I work for Max Cash but after those I am still around helping out there if needed and doing my own sites but it isn't something I force myself to do.

Winter and fall seasons, mostly at mid pm to very early am. Spring and summer I switch more to a full daytime scheadule with some night. Insomnia does not help much, but then again even during day or whatever I cant sleep worth shit.

work all night...seems to be common among webmasters

Used to always work at night, but slowly changed my ways, and do my stuff mostly during the day now...
