I need an email solution. I currently use Outlook express (haha)

I don't use webmail because it takes more than 1 second to check. I open Outlook express a few hundred times a day (ok, slightly less) and I like that it is insanely fast. I was bitching about spam today when a friend said gmail will allow my to setup a pop3 account and I can check with Outlook Express. Where will the spam go though? Will it have its own directory and show up in Outlook Express?

There is one other thing I would like. I don't need it but it would be fuckin cool. If I could have access to about 5 email accounts at once and if I hit reply it automatically goes out from the one it was sent to. Or if I was sending I could chose which one to send from. Is that possible?

Thanks in advance

I use Microsoft Outlook and I don't get spam. It has pretty good filters built right into it. It's a pretty good program, I use a lot of its tools.

Try Eudora. It resends from the email account that was sent to, and I believe has a good built in spam filter (even though I use a different spam filter).

I'm using TheBat! with Antispam Snipper. With gmail account with pop3, thats 100% spam protection

I've gotten so good at filtering it out (since i refuse to lose even 1 email on accident using a spam filter) even recieving 2,000 spams a day...it takes me 1 minute to hand delete it all & skim it

i fucking delete/read spam like "data" from star trek n shit :1orglaugh

i use outlook - the spam filter is kind of ok, it automatically replies with the sent to account or you choose any other either for the reply or a new email

and you can of course put it any pop3 account like gmail etc

I use Outlook. I tried The Bat for awhile but came back. I have all my crap on the calendar and tasks list and I've gotten in a habit of checking Today to keep up with what's going on.

you can set GMAIL to do IMAP instead of POP and it will sync with your online account and create folders for you in Outlook, SPAM folders and all. It's a tad slower than POP but it's bad ass.
