Fucking slammed my truck into a pond in this bullshit april blizzard
 

the fucking thing is buried hard. 5 inches of water sitting in the cab, truck is frozen right in. i am hypothermic as fuck. gotta wait like a week until the weather turns to go wade in and winch it out. the towing company won't even touch it. i foresee a big bill as i'm only carrying liability insurance at the moment. this fucking blows. i fucking hate nature. possibly pix coming soon depending on how fast they hit facebook. i didn't have my camera, but a friend came by with hers. as soon as i unthaw i'll be cranking out any work i can round up.

anybody in need of anything, domains, sites, splog setups, wordpress themes, my sig, wtfever. hit me up. i need to get some extra cash together for this one. i'm likely going to have to have the whole thing rewired and all the fluids drained and changed.

firstly i ask anyone in the domain buying mood to check out my sig link to the domains sale thread i posted a couple days ago. i'm gonna start letting things go for quite a bit less than i was previously at this point. my willingness to part with them just went up a few notches i'd say...

No neighbours with tractors nearby? That's what we usually have to use out here, cheaper than getting a tow truck.

nope no intentional offroading. got whited out coming up over a hilltop behind a semi that was barely moving. didn't even see the ass end of the truck until we were coming up on in about 100 feet out ahead of me. pulled right to head into the ditch easy but wound up going straight into an approach. tossed teh truck up and backout into and aross the highway. took a fairly steep ditch and right into a fucking slough. i hiked out to the highway to see if anything had happened up there and called for a pickup. rounded up a posee to come try and pull it out and had no luck. my front tow hooks are burried right dosn inthe mud and the water is so fucking cold i ain't doing much digging around today. it's a full on blizzard out now. my family actually ha a tractor about 12k away, so it will get pulled out, it just not going to happen today. i been in that wayer more than enough. i'm pretty sure a couple of my fingertips are frost bitten as is. the two smaller fingers on my left hand and still numb like 7 hours ater i last got out. i'm still colder and stiffer than fuck right now..

Jesus Christ, man. At least you're okay. Where did this happen? Like, what state? I use to live in Maine and we got pretty bad storms there. People use to go off the road left and right. Usually not into a pond, though!

I live in Alberta, apparently the blizzard is settling right in now, and there is another foot of snow expected overnight. I called my boss to mention that I'd need a pickup tommorow morning and he told me we aren't even working. He's got over 3 feet of snow over his road and the plows won't be out there until afternoon tomorrow at least. Tow trucks still want nothing to do with me yet, and likely won't for a week,which is just too long. It's already sat too long submerged. I gotta try to get it pulled out with a tractor tomorrow and cross my fingers and hope it dries out alright, but I'm starting to think the truck is a fucking write off.

I'm too pissed off to even smoke a bowl for 420...

brutal man. this blizzard sucks indeed.

i's a dodge dakota, weather is still shit, spent all morning trying to find a towing company anywhere within 200miles who could come get me. they're all backed up for days, and the one who can get me today just called back to tell me their boss called in to tell them no trucks can go out due to the highway conditions worsening. been calling farmers off the county map all day and no one close is going to be able to do it. by the time i manage to get the fucking thing pulled out it's just going to be fucked. i'm pretty positive of that. it snowed like a foot and a half since i went in, so i guarantee the truck is not only frozen in, but buried in fucking snow too. i just can't wait to dive into that frozen asss fucking water to break a path through the ice and winch up. the only place i'm going to be able to hook up is the real axle, so i'm gonna get to do a little polar bear dive and freeze my fucking balls off again. i still can't feel my fingertips on the one hand and they are beginning to look a little purple. i think i can kiss them goodbye. i'm pretty much ready to just accept the fact that it's going to be a write off and say fuck it...
