gibson les paul faded or gibson sg faded ?

gibson les paul faded or gibson sg faded?

what do you think i should buy, and what amp. I just need an amp for my flat atm so nothing big, maybe marshall mg15 or?

The Les Paul is much beefier in tone than the SG as the paul is heavier.

My Les Paul Custom ( Avatar ) is about 10 pounds in weight ... Pretty wicked tone thru my Marshall half stack.

I'd get the Paul ... You'll be happier down the road.

Why Gibson? Why not go with Fender?

Techie Media 04-20-2008 05:03 PM

Well I am poartial to The Les Paul, I have a Les Paul Custom 20th Aniversarry and an original Music Man 410-HD a killer com bination and both are Origanal and in perfect condition. The Les Paul has totally faded paint was like white when new and now more like a yellowish .....My baby has Jammed with Chuck Berry, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Charlie Daniels and a few other biggies....Damm those were the good ol days for sure.

Beautiful guitar man, and it sounds like it has the life it deserved, judging by whom she's shined with.

That does sound sweet!

But, what about the Fender? Jag-Stang?

Sansa 04-20-2008 08:03 PM

I like the tone of SG so much more.

Bojangles 04-20-2008 09:44 PM

Les Paul.

Spunky 04-20-2008 09:54 PM

Chicks dig the flying V

Some Guy 04-20-2008 09:58 PM

Flying V's fucking suck.

Go with a Les Paul for sure. My buddy has a beautiful one that plays great and just sounds amazing. The next guitar I get will be a Les Paul, definitely.

Fap 04-20-2008 10:25 PM

did you actually try playing a SG? The neck is different, there's slim taper , rounded 60's, and 61 classic. Can be totally different than your LP and you may or may not like it. Depends on what you're going for really.

ajrocks 04-21-2008 11:46 AM

Les Paul over and SG any day of the week.

WebairGerard 04-21-2008 11:56 AM

I am partial to Les Paul's as well

yes i tried the sg faded was good but i like the lp more. Just need to choose the colour comes in 3 colours. If i buy i will buy from ebay, cheapest with escrow. Noticed they have the honey burst there and the tobacco burst

TreasureBucks 04-21-2008 12:05 PM

Get the Les Paul

SG would be a nice addition to your collection later on.

CaptainHowdy 04-21-2008 12:09 PM

Neither, Fender is the way to go...
