Do you have a dual (or more) screen setup?

I have two 19" Samsung SyncMaster's, and I love working on two monitors.

Post pics of your setup!

Here is a tip on how you can have a wallpaper streched over both screens:

Follow these steps in to display a large image across multiple monitors:
1. Right click on the background and select Personalization.
2. Click on Desktop Background
3. Select a background image that is at least as wide as the combined resolution of both of your monitors. For Example, I have two 19” monitors that have a resolution of 1280x1024. I need an image of 2560x1024 or greater so that it can be displayed across both monitors.
4. Next, this is the step that most users would never even think about trying: Select the Tile picture positioning option as shown below. This is the only option that will display your background image across multiple monitors.
5. Hit OK

I love 2 monitors, although to be honest, I hardly use the second one at all. Sometimes when squinting at a lot of spreadsheets, but mostly it's for entertainment.

2 monitors.. but I'm buying a new pc soon and I'm wondering.. should I buy 3 monitors or just 2? I love my second monitor! (scripting, mails, etc)

pornguy 04-20-2008 06:40 AM

I have just the one. This is a laptop. I could use a second one from time to time, but can not see spending 300 when I dont need it all the time. So if I find a great deal on one, I will get it. Otherwise, I will survive. I will survive!!!

Sounds like Pornguy needs GG!!! https://youtube.com/watch?v=RofjxpEXuJI

2 monitors for me.... one for the code, one for the browser.

I have three monitors on my desk, not counting my laptops.

My Mac desktop has a 30''
My Windows/Ubuntu desktop has a 30'' and 21'' widescreen

Unless traveling, on at least 2 all the time. After moving to two it's hard to look back. Much more efficient.

Madame0120 04-20-2008 09:17 AM

I have 2 monitors, and one CPU. My main monitor is a 36 inch HDTV, bought when my old eyes couldn't read an LCD screen. The other is a 19 inch flat screen, and I can, because of the video card, use one mouse across both screens. No pics, my desk is a mess.

Here is an excellent little app for multi-monitor setups. Worth every dollar.

I just added a 3rd. It's lovely. One 24" widescreen, and two 17" regular 4:3s turned vertically on each side.

Bojangles 04-20-2008 01:14 PM

I have two. I don't think I will be needing anymore than that.

Yep I've been using that for years. And as another has said, it's pretty sad that some of this isn't implemented into windows already for dual monitors.

It puts the taskbar on your 2nd monitor, then if you move a window to the 2nd monitor, it moves that program to the 2nd taskbar.. It's a bit hard to explain, you just probably have to try it to see what I'm talking about...

Sly 04-20-2008 04:13 PM

I'm using a 24 inch widescreen. I think adding another one would only give me a chiropractor bill...

Tomy 04-20-2008 05:05 PM

I have two of those as well, and a 17" KDS that I don't use that often. :2 cents:
