i reinstalled free bsd but its fucked so i want to install mandrake isntead

i tried booting from cd with the mandrake cd in there but it loads free bsd still

how do i boot from the cd?

Check your bios settings and determine what drive is being accessed first.

damn, i guess i cant throw in a "format C:"

or a cp -Rf /dev/null /etc/*

format /mbr

deletes the master boot record and will boot your default partition i believe.

you might have to go in bios and change your boot sequence.
