Need a new mouse!

Just got a new pc and I like everything about it, except the mouse that came with it. Since my old mouse is falling to pieces, I can't use that one anymore either.
Anyone got any suggestions for the ideal mouse?

that's the one I have... I've actually has two... and they both died. It started when I had to double click just to click and then eventually they stopped working. When it happened the first time I thought my computer was fucked.

I've got this logitech trackball that's shaped to fit your hand. The trackball is on your thumb, then there's three buttons where your fingers are including a scrollwheel. Can't find the exact one I have on their site but it's fucking nice.

Get one of these. I love mine, it's so precise. It even detects the vibrations of my subwoofer through the table, that's how accurate it is.

Well, how somebody tell what the ideal mouse is at all? This wholly depends on what you get used to. I had simpliest two button mitsumi mouse (I think it's cost is $5) and it served me well for years (I don't remember, but I think at least 3). But finally I get bored of cleaning it and bought ordinary Genius NetScroll optical mouse. I'm pretty satisfied with it, but I dare not say it can be ideal for anybody else...
